Street Rod Garage was the first company to bring a full Chevy II/Nova Chassis to the aftermarket game while also offering the most options. Depending on options that you choose, this Chassis can can be a direct fit or might require some body modifications. Many of our C5, C6, and C7 IRS setups will require body modifications for clearance. Some new style Transmissions will require tunnel modifications. Body modifications will also depend on tire size, tubs, and other factors.
Our Frames are the only ones on the market to incorporate our inner structure truss system (the X-brace system) into our fully fabricated and boxed Frame rails. This drastically reduces the torsional flex of the frame, which in return increases performance by making the suspension absorb the energy instead of the frame flexing and absorbing it. While doing so we actually reduce the weight of the Chassis as a whole and simultaneously make it the strongest aftermarket chassis on the planet.
Our Chevy II/Nova Chassis Come in 3 different types-
- Classic - This direct fit Chassis is our basic package that bolts right up to the factory mounting locations. To add some more structure into the poorly engineered original system, we have added some mounting locations which will require you to drill 4 holes into the body.
- Low Pro - This is probably our favorite version of our first gen platform. Essentially the same chassis as the direct fit, the low pro actually tucks up under the car to provide a much lower and aggressive stance. There are some minor body modifications that will have to be done in the rear footwell area.
- Alabama Slammer - This version of our first gen will literally allow you to "lay the rocker on the ground" with an air ride setup while getting very close on coil overs. This setup requires heavy body modifications.
